You have a wonderful blog that you have started recently. But you are worried about the number of visits or traffic to your blog and almost quit blogging. Well, if you work hard and explore other successful bloggers you will know a lot on how to run your blog successfully with a good number of visitors.

I'm going to share how you can increase your traffic by commenting on others' blogs.

How many of you comment on other blogger's posts in your niche?

Do you know commenting on other blogs in your niche is one of the most important things for a blogger?

Following are the reasons why every blogger should comment on the blogs of his/her niche.

• The immediate benefit you will get is traffic to your blog. You might be following so many other things like link exchange, submitting your blog to blog directories etc to drive traffic to your site. But none of them will get you the 'quality' traffic. Commenting on the blogs of your niche will help you get the quality traffic.
• What makes you comment on other's blog? The obvious answer is their posts. So, you would obviously go through their posts before posting a comment. By going through different posts on different blogs, there is a great chance of you getting some good ideas for you to write a great post on your blog. Reading that many posts will also make you know how to write better and attracting posts.
• Post valid and good comments regularly. By dooing so, there are great chances of people getting interested to know you. Make friends with them. This helps your blog getting linked by them.
• If you keep commenting, you will also get more comments to your blog. Whatever you put out comes back to you. So, keep commenting.
• Search for new blogs in your niche once in a while and comment on them too. This helps you expose yourself to new people in your niche.
• Add value to the conversation with your comment.

But wait! This is not everything. There are a few other things to consider before you comment.

• Your comments should not be like "great post", "nice blog", "Thanks for the great post" etc. You'll be considered a comment spammer if you do so.
• Your comments should be related to the topic.
• Tell him what you like and why you like.
• Don't always put a link to your blog in your comment signature. Add the link back to your blog only if you feel it is relevant to the post.
• Don't add more comments on the same post. It can hurt you more than it helps.

Blogging is not just about what you want to say. What good does it make you, if you don't have visitors to read your blog. So, reach out to people, expose yourself to new friends, new ideas.
Have fun!

How did you get benefited by commenting? Share any other practices that I missed?

The Easiest Ways to Make Money from Home

Guest Post by Alex Cadens

If you have been flirting with the idea of making money from home, but you have yet to make it a reality, this is a strong sign that you should stop thinking and start doing.

You will always hear the most diverse opinions when it comes to a home business, from the those that assure you that making money from home is next to impossible to those who say it is as easy as pie.

The ones on the side of the skeptics are usually people who have not seriously committed themselves to building a home business or they have simply fallen victims to scammers one time too many.

One the other hand, people that hype up the idea of making money from home and tell you that it is easy to make millions are often trying to sell you something and chances are that they have not even achieved what they say you will.

The fact of the matter is that making money from home can actually be easy, but not in the way many people will have you believe (which involves the illusion of getting rich effortlessly).

So, what does it really mean that making money from home can be easy?

1.- A home business will take a lot less of your time in order to develop and run, as opposed to a traditional business where you may easily have to commit 12 hours or more per day (I know this by own experience). You will still need to work hard, but it will certainly consume just a fraction of the time a "normal" business would, leaving you with more time for yourself and far greater sense of reward.

2.- You will not have the need for an inventory in order to run your business, something that will save you a lot of money in start-up costs.

3.- On top of that, you will not have the need for a payroll and the heavy expenses associated with hiring employees, because there are many tools and resources you can use to automate everything thus allowing you to run your business by yourself.

4.- And last but not least, a home business will spare you the need for physical locations, which is often one of the heaviest burdens of in terms of capital investments when you are starting a business. A home business will require virtually no money to start.

What is the easiest way to make money from home then?

No subject is more heavily discussed in forums and blogs, but in my personal experience your best bet for a real and scalable business that you can manage and profit from the comfort of you home is at internet marketing, e-commerce and trading.

All of these models share one thing in common: they all can be developed and run from a computer and all of them can easily grow into a significant stream of income if you take the time to learn the ropes of each business model and build a steady work routine.

But probably the greatest advantage of using any of these proven business models is that you hardly need any money to start, because although all of them are ultimately business options that, as such, will require some sort of investment in the form of essential tools and resources, you will not have to commit thousands nor hundreds of dollars in order to get it up and running and start making money easily from home.

The internet is big! There's no debating that! It started out as the information superhighway. Now it is becoming the place to go to check to for deals. It is also the place to go when you are trying to save money.

So, how can you take advantage of all this business that is conducted on the world wide web? If you set things up properly, you will be rewarded with a passive online income stream for years to come. This is the ideal form of income. Who doesn't dream of getting paid for sleeping? Or getting paid while you're on your vacation and you've been gone for 3 months? That is the life! Well, for me. I don't know if you feel the same way. Some people are workaholics and cannot be away from their work. But, to each their own.

Companies are reporting that with each year, their online revenues are increasing. They love it. Online marketplaces cut down on overhead tremendously. There is no need for a big office building with fancy lights and such. All that's needed for them is a big warehouse, an internet site, and someone to handle the orders as they come in.

Settings Things Up
This is the hardest part. You will need to set time aside to learn how the internet works and you will need to know a little about marketing as well as what people are searching for. This is key for this will determine what will be successful for you.

Once you have the basic information, you can either use free sites or set up your own. Then you build it so that it is attractive and so it offers useful information, the info that the searcher is looking for. Then you add in offers that will suit your audience, offers for which you are an affiliate. Then you work on sending traffic to your site. And that is it!

This is exactly how some people have broken out of the rat race and gained their financial freedom through the world wide web.

Selling Online
They have created their own little storefront and are selling products that other people need at lower prices than the local physical stores. Some people harness the power of eBay to build their online store.

Affiliate
Others don't want to have to worry about shipping or dealing with customers, so they sign up as affiliates to eBay and other businesses. For these people, every time they send an interested party to eBay or whatever, they get credited the sale and make a commission.

Freelance
Yet others will offer their services through the internet community through sites like Guru.com and Elance.com.

Before you get into the methods of setting up your website and get things going online, there are some things that you need to try to avoid when you start in your money making online journey. I am talking about all the distractions out there. Let me share a story about this first.

About five years ago, I began pretty much right at the beginning. Not really knowing a lot about generating an income on the internet. Luckily, my background is in computer programming so I had a bit of a leg up there. I knew how to create a website and knew a bit about graphic design as well - enough to get me by anyway. So when I first started, I began by reading various money making methods online and worked on implementating these methods. The trouble was that I was bombarded by so many different methods on how to make money, that I kept getting sidetracked and wanting to try them all. I never really gave each method a good chance because I would not spend enough time doing the work properly.

It was only about a year or so ago that I realized that I needed to focus on just one thing and learn to do it really well. Once I figured that out, I was amazed on how well I started doing. I wish this was something that I would have figured out right at the first -- this is why I am sharing this here. I hope you all take this advice.

Remember, if you frequent some of the online money making and internet marketing forums, you will be bombarded by headlines like this:

"I earned $53,656 in 24 hours and you can too!"
"Learn how to get on the top of Google in 2 minutes"
"How to dominate and make a million per month!"

These aren't real headlines but you get the idea. It is easy to read things like this and get sidetracked and tricked into trying it out.

My advice when you start out is to try to stay away from the sales letters, hyped up headlines and other things that can easily distract you from your chosen money making task. Believe me, from someone who has experienced it, you will save tons of time and money.

Another huge distraction are forums. Sure, forums are a great place to learn new things about the various ways to make money, but it can also be a huge time waster. Myself, for one, got hung up in some of these forums and spent too much time reading and not enough time acting. You also have to be careful because not everything you read in a forum is true or correct. Remember to always verify everything you think is fact in a forum because it could be just someone that is not really qualified to post about the topics of that forum.

If you can figure out the balance between actual work and the "distractions" that come to you, you are going to be well on your way to succeeding.

Yes, this is a very sad thing to say, but it is true that most of affiliates usually do not make as good money as they can from their work, this is because of lack of understanding some basic problems taking care of which can be beneficial. Before telling you those important things, I want to tell you that affiliates can earn more than what they usually think, so make your thoughts clear about that and soon you will reach at the top, just believe yourself. OK, now I am telling you the points below:

1) Newbie Affiliates simply do work, nothing else:
If you start working like only you are doing this and nobody else is present to see, you can not make good money. The reason is, you don't see what other people are doing, see them how they made good money and do consider good ideas they give to you, join forums and see what others are doing. Ask your affiliate manager how much the top affiliate is making on the same offer which you are going to promote. If you think the top affiliate is not getting much, try promoting something else.

2) Affiliates promote products, not qualities:
Learn what your product is all about, find what different thing is in your product and then promote it. Try to promote something in which you take interest, the work will become easy, but do search for such product which gives you money also.

3) Keywords mistakes in advertising:
Don't act like somebody who is tied with ropes while giving keywords. For example you are going to sell a mobile and its name is my mobile, what will be the keywords for it? Yes, mobile prices, my mobile prices, my brother's mobile prices, my mobile rates, my mobile ...... anything, sorry guys I am not only fed up with this idiot kind of stuff but also I am angry with the policy you are following here. Why do you think that people always include the word mobile in the search? The word can also be my cell phone. Think broad while giving keywords.

4) Trying to promote too many products:
Its great to have more than one product at a time, but don't try to be too smart that you are not. Not only you have to promote the products to get sales, but also you have to learn the key points for all the products and for all the products you will be writing keywords. Can you manage 10 products at a time? If not, try promoting just two at one time. See how much your ability is and do according to your ability. Sometimes one product gives you more than what you were going to get from ten products at one time.

5) Don't know and don't want to know:
Sometimes your mind stops working, why don't you try keyword tools available over the internet. Manually writing keywords can be a considerable pain for one big ad campaign that you launch for your products. The thing which you will be doing is only check what are the keywords. You don't have to write them all. The example of such a tool is http://www.google.com/sktool/. It is a Search Based Keyword tool which tells you how much your keywords take from you. You can also try http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com for this, but it only works to suggest keywords without values of keywords.

6) Strategy change frequency:
You are free when to change your strategy about your ad campaign. Increase and decrease your bids whenever you want, but don't play with this frequency. Sometimes trying to be patient is good and sometimes changing your strategy can be a good turning point, but you have to use your common sense here. The problem is, if you play with this frequency like children, your business will be giving you nothing for most of the times. If you still get something while you play with this frequency, consider the advice of some austrologist, he will tell you that you are the luckiest person in the world and this post is not for the luckiest persons.

7) Not understanding stats:
Usually the affiliates do see the stats provided by their advertising program, such as Google adwords etc. but they don't give much importance to that and here they are wrong. They have to see what keywords are getting more importance and if they find any difficulty in accessing their stats, they should consider software available over the internet for that and the help which adwords and others provide to know what's going on. If you do so, you will surely be ready to explore more good things in affiliate programs.
